Using Dolphin Neurostim Device
Microcurrent point therapy (MPS Therapy)
Benefits mental-emotional harmony, stress release, and parasympathetic nervous system balance.
The vagus nerve, the 10th and longest cranial nerve, is reached via certain parts of the ear.
Microcurrent Point Stimulation (MPS) using the Dolphin Neurostim is applied to the ear or ears.
The vagus nerve is a vital part of your body’s parasympathetic healing system. It is known as “the wandering nerve,” that connects your brain to nearly every major organ. It is important for health recovery, digestion, respiration, and mental health.
Stimulation of the Vagus nerve helps take one out of chronic “fight or flight” stress response. Thus, it promotes relaxation and activation of our restorative healing functions throughout the body.
It is therefore helpful for:
Managing stress
Good sleep
Relaxation
Exercise recovery
POTS
Covid Long Haul Recovery
Improved immune system
PTSD
Better respiratory and pulmonary function
Rewire brain stuck in chronic pain

Internal medicine conditions
The treatment is based on the assessment of your Meridian-Organ imbalances.
A pattern diagnosis is made using a combination of:
Palpation of the spine and back
Palpation of the abdomen.
Symptoms and Signs
For musculo-skeletal conditions and joint pain an orthopedic exam is performed.
To assess range of motion restrictions.
To assess muscle imbalances
To assess stabilizing muscle inhibitions.
Treatment aims to restore function, release restrictions, and calm the nervous system.
Most Therapy points are located in the fascia surrounding muscles, tendons, ligaments, cranial sutures.
These points are modified locations of acupuncture, trigger or motor points or new points that are related to key anatomical structures.
Release of fascia adhesions at these points loosens muscles that are tight, shortened and weak. This helps joints and muscles receive more Qi-energy and blood circulation. Often the shortened muscles are the root cause of reduced range of motion and pain.
MPS provides for a scientifically documented 75-80% improvement in pain relief & functional outcomes.
We can apply the MPS Therapy before dry needling, or acupuncture to significantly accelerate patient healing & functional outcomes.
Dr. Michele Arnold will often combine MPS Electronic Acupuncture with Dry-needling, Tui-Na manual therapies like massage and Gua Sha (skin scrapping).
Either in combination or used as a standalone modality, MPS is difficult to beat using conventional modalities for pain relief. Several recent studies prove the superiority of MPS therapy for chronic pain.
1) Reduce Stress and Regulate the Autonomic Nervous System
2) Accelerate Cellular Healing
3) Relieve Chronic & Acute Pain
